ANTEPRIMA ITALIANA / ITALIAN PREMIERE
Lost and Found č un progetto in cui sei giovani registi dell’Europa dell’Est hanno diretto un cortometraggio sul tema della ‘generazione’. I sei corti hanno dato poi origine a un lungometraggio, in cui cinque lavori (quattro di fiction e un documentario) sono tenuti assieme da un film di animazione (Gene+Ratio). I giovani registi scelti per il progetto, sono ritenuti fra i piů promettenti nei loro rispettivi paesi. La realizzazione di ciascuno dei film č avvenuta nei loro paesi d’origine, con i loro produttori, mentre tutta la post-produzione č avvenuta in Germania. Tutti i registi e i produttori si sono incontrati piů volte per lavorare insieme alla sceneggiatura di ogni film e per cercare di fondere i vari episodi in un unico film. L’obiettivo del progetto č stato quello di mettere assieme filmmaker provenienti dai paesi dell’Europa dell’Est in modo da dare un supporto alle strutture produttive indipendenti di quell’area.

Lost and Found is a film project for which six young filmmakers from eastern Europe developed one short film each on the theme of ‘generation’. The six short films then gave rise to a full-length theatrical film; five of the shorts (four short features and one short documentary) are connected by an autonomous animation story (Gene+Ratio). It is particularly worth mentioning that the young directors selected for the short films currently number among the most talented in their native countries. While they realized their films with native producers in their respective countries, the post-production took place later in Germany. All the directors and producers get together several times to work on the scripts together and to fuse the various episodes into one film. The goal of the project is to bring together filmmakers from the eastern Europe countries in order to support independent production structures in this region.
Lost and Found was the Forum opening film at the latest Berlin Film Festival.
