FEATURE FILM COMPETITION
competing for the Trieste Award will be the long fictional features selected from works produced in the last two years which best document and interpret more original and expansive concepts, and lead the production of cinema down new roads of thought. All Italian premiers.

20 works in both film and video, produced in the last two years in Central-Eastern Europe, compete for the prize of Best Short Film.

DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION
Open to documentaries produced in Europe, with a small section exclusively dedicated to Italian productions. All of the films competing for the Alpe Adria Cinema Award are Italian premiers.
