For the opening night, it is much better come
well informed.
Once you’re all dressed up and ready to go, the
most important things you need to know are:
There are various types of entry. Make
sure you know which one applies to you before
getting in the wrong queue.
Entrance by invitation: those holding an
invitation should arrive by 7.30pm, and join the
queue assigned to them.
Entrance without invitation: even though
those holding invitations take priority, we aim
to be able to accomodate everyone; you will know
which queue is for those without invitations...it’s
the long one!
It is better to be punctual as you will have
more time to enter, see the exhibition erected
at the Excelsior cinema, and to find a good seat.
In previous years the opening nights have been
extremely busy. Therefore the last thing to
bring with you is your patience... then all you
need to do is enjoy yourself!
IMPORTANT
As of this year, no accreditations can be made
directly at the cinema. Instead, they can be
obtained from the offices in Via S. Nicolò at
the Hotel Continentale; these are open all day
from 10.00am untill 10.00pm

TFF: On the starting blocks!
We’re nearly there. Think ‘Formula 1 pit-stop’
and you’re getting close to the atmosphere at
the Alpe Adria offices. Arduous worker-bees
dancing a seamless choreography of buzzing from
one room to another, putting the finishing
touches on everything. Touches that would never
even enter the minds of the public: the factory
line operation of filling thousands of folders
and producing hundreds of identical welcome
packs... if you’ve ever played ‘pass-the-parcel’,
you get the idea.
At the Excelsior cinema the prints for the
István Gaál exhibition are in place, the carpet
laid and the coordinators under enough stress to
be admitted to the neurology ward.
.. outside however, in via Muratti, quite a
different exhibition of lights and images is
taking place in honour of our 19th edition;
whilst, lurking in the dark depths via
Pescheria, the computers patiently await their
journalists.
The festival bags are here and ‘molto-chic’
enough to make any fashion victim proud. The
catalogues, on the other hand are on their
way...
So start getting ready because we’re about to
take-off! Tonight we kick start with the launch
party and from then its full steam ahead!
