The Pizzeria
Arno and Toni work in a pizzeria in the outskirts of Trieste. Arno is a seventy-five-year-old chef who emigrated from Istria in the Fifties. Toni is a middle-aged man from Salerno who left the south when he was still a boy. Arno and Toni speak with prejudice about the refugees who have been arriving in Italy in 2016, but when push comes to shove, in their pizzeria they treat the immigrants humanely and in friendly fashion. This film is a cross-section of a city in northern Italy where residents have to deal with the difficulties of the past and present.
