Alpe Adria Cinema in collaboration with PAG – progetto area giovani of the Municipality of Trieste dedicates a series of events focusing on immersive video, discussion and research of a common language on visual expression. Professionals or simply curious can explore new ways of creative expressions, deepening and identifying new narration tools used in this new media through panels, workshops and a unique masterclass by Michel Reilhac.

h.11am_ PANEL “VIRTUAL REALITY: STATE OF THE ART”
If we define the year 2016 "the VR year", when many hardware and software producers have just entered the world of immersive video and virtual reality, we can therefore define year 2017 the year of VR creativity. A panel on the state of the art of immersive video, analysing this new media that involves cinema, videogames, internet and sound design.

h.2.30pm _ WORKSHOP “WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT SPATIAL AUDIO?”
An overview of Spatial Audio's characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses from a creative point of view. This presentation is tailored for an audience of film makers and content creators, who may not know enough (or not at all) the Spatial Audio capabilities for storytelling, using demos and examples to explain and clarify concepts.

h.5pm_ MASTERCLASS MICHEL REILHAC
Michel Reilhac is Head of Submarine Channel based in Amsterdam. He is also an independent VR film maker and interactive story architect. He is a pioneer in Virtual Reality filming. His first VR film « Viens ! » premiered at Sundance 2016. He is a thought-leader for hybrid forms of storytelling, and immersive, participatory, and interactive experiences.  He is the conceiver and co-programmer of Venice VR, the first ever official competition of artistic VR content at the Venice Biennale International Film Festival. He is also Head of Studies for the Venice Biennale College, and was Head of the Cross Media College at Scuola Holden , Torino , Italy between 2013 and 2016.
