Open our Video Room (Cavò). Without breaking in….

Open in occasion of the twentieth edition of the Trieste Film Festival that which we consider the most precious of our location! From an idea by Alpe Adria Cinema, with the project by Michele Lanari and Lodovico Mascarin from he Ell(e)gi Workshop of Architecture in Trieste and with thanks to the production of Ivan Olivo Cavò – A Videoexposition refuge by Alpe Adria Cinema in Via San Rocco an alley in the heart of the bohemian zone of Cavana. The choice of name was certainly not just christened for the assonance with this area!

The place is a symbol for this edition of the festival, Cavò is a futuristic-medieval casket where the members can taste the replicas of films that were lost in the projection course of this edition (timetable available from the Press Room), immersed in an almost lunar atmosphere... Soft floors of an accessible purple enter into harmony with the grey of the walls, sparkling with the metallic decorations knowingly used to place in a beautiful display poster and relics of past and present editions.

The evocative set design takes form with thanks to the many block elements scattered around, that like many treasure chests decorated in an original manner becoming at the same time practical support points.

The Cavò is the new Video room with a little exhibitory space attached that will continue to live even after the conclusion of the festival: there will be means for Cultural enterprises, media events, avant-garde exhibitions, exclusive presentations and more!
