Set in 1918 and 1919, during the rise and fall of the short-lived Hungarian Soviet Republic, Agitators is a film about a group of young communists who try to persuade workers and peasants to unite with the Red Army and the Bolsheviks, to fight the counter-revolutionary forces and establish the dictatorship of the proletariat.
