A WALK THROUGH THE TRIESTE OF CINEMA

Starting at the Politeama rossetti, down Trieste’s Viale XX Settembre and its surroundings on a stroll through the streets of cinemas today and of the first projections at the end of the Nineteenth century, and then on to the Teatro Fenice and the Rossetti itself. We go to the places of Senilità and La sconosciuta, but also of Giulia and Giulia, La forza del passato and the search of Bobi Bazlen in Le stade de Wimbledon. We also move to the historic Ca è San Marco, the literary and also cinematic café, used as a set for films based on Svevo’s writings but also for James Joyce’s Nora and Paprika by Tinto Brass. The walk will also pass through the public gardens, via Carducci and Piazza Goldoni.

A WALK THROUGH MULTICULTURAL TRIESTE

The itinerary winds through some of the places of Jewish Trieste such as the house of Italo Svevo, the Caffè San Marco, the exterior of the Synagogue and the Jewish cemetery. A unique opportunity to read part of the city's cultural and economic history through funerary fences and gravestones. The last stop will be the Jewish Museum in Via del Monte that will take participants on a journey through the history of local Judaism.
