INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE

Anya, a 13-year-old girl, is in love with her punk neighbour Arseny. Left home alone, she gets Arseny to look after her. Anya spends a whole day with Arseny’s friends, a gang with the odd name “Avako”, trying to catch his attention and not knowing yet that she will probably never see him again. Amidst chats, flirts, quarrels, swimming and jokes, music and dances, the last long day of a lighthearted summer for a group of Russian youngsters.

Ksenija Pčelinceva
Film director Ksenia Pčelinceva was born in 1993 in Moscow. In 2017, she applied to the High Courses for Screenwriters and Directors in Moscow, where she attended the class of Pavel Lungin. Avako was awarded Best Short Film at the Budem Fest in Moscow and the Kinošok festival in Anapa, Russia.
