FROM GEORGIA TO THE COLLIO: JOSKO GRAVNER’S VERTICAL TASTING OF RIBOLLA

The Gravner estate was established in 1901 in Oslavia, a small hamlet outside Gorizia in the hills of the Collio, close to the border with Slovenia.
For many years now, the Gravner farm has been an international symbol of excellence, particularly as regards experimentation with an ancient method of wine production: the use for fermentation and ageing of Qvevri, large clay amphorae lined in beeswax and then buried up to the neck, following an ancient Georgian technique.
Mateja Gravner will lead us in a very rare and exceptional vertical tasting of Ribolla Gialla: the 2000, 2001, 2006 and 2011 vintages will be on parade. The wine will be paired with cheeses produced by Azienda Agricola Zidarič if Prepotto, which are aged in one of the typical Karst caves of the area.
