Thirty years later, the exhibition retraces the days of the brief armed conflict in 1991, the so-called “Ten Days War” that followed the proclamation of independence of the Republic of Slovenia. Colour and black and white images by photographer Giovanni Montenero document the most difficult episodes of the conflict, but also the everyday life of the soldiers guarding the Pesek and Rabuiese passes, on the outskirts of Trieste.
