Two little brothers (8 and 14 years old) have to stay alone in their remote hut, to protect it from an obscure threat, while also dealing with their own fears and fantasy.

“The film tells a story about childhood, and a world transformed through children’s imagination. The Watchers is a film about children, but not for children. It is a coming-of-age story where reality and fantasy, childish game and responsibility meet… I shot the film in my village, where I heard many stories from local hunters about lost cattle and where the nature and surroundings inspired me.” (S. Sandro Souladze
Film director Sandro Souladze was born in 1988 in Tbilisi. Souladze got his degree in filmmaking from the “Shota Rustaveli” Film and Theater Georgia State University, and is a Berlinale Talents alumni. The Watchers premiered at the latest Raindance Film Festival.
