IL MUSEO CASA DI OSIRIDE BROVEDANI
Through the life of one of the city’s benefactors, Mr. Fissan, the Museo Casa di Osiride Brovedani provides an insight into the history of twentieth-century Trieste: a history intertwined with the deportation to Nazi camps and the entrepreneurial success of Osiride Brovedani.
The exhibition contains a concentration of stories and experiences, even tragic ones, that serve to prompt fundamental questions about people’s identity, to add stories and reflections to our knowledge. A place of memory in which ample space is given to the founding values of Brovedani’s entrepreneurial personality, such as solidarity and trust in oneself and in life.
From a historical point of view, it is a study and teaching centre aimed at keeping the memory of the Shoah alive and present, contributing to the promotion of values of equality, of peace among peoples and acceptance of all diversity, against all forms of racism and discrimination among men.
