When summer ends, there is always a feeling of loss. A woman embarks on a journey through the memories of her past summers, hoping to find her lost love – or maybe herself.

Laura Samani
Italian film director Laura Samani was born in 1989 in Trieste. After graduating in Performing Arts from the University of Pisa, she studied film directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Her debut feature Small Body premiered at the Critics’ Week of the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 and was screened at more than forty festivals, winning several awards. In May 2022, Samani won the David di Donatello as Best Debut Director. In December of the same year, the film won the European Film Awards as European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI.
