Travelogue film about the expedition of six Czechoslovak athletes from Prague to Kolkata, India, in four Škoda Popular cars. The adventure begins in Prague, through Europe, Istanbul and the Asian part of Turkey. The cars travel through the desert, past Beirut, Damascus and Baghdad, into the mountains of Kurdistan and along the rivers of northern Persia. In the city of Quetta, the expedition splits up: one group travels through India while the other follows an adventurous route through Afghanistan. On 7th of August, the first and longest journey in the history of Czechoslovak motoring reaches its destination.
