The Talafì is a fishing boat that cannot fish. A place crushed by the unstoppable noise of its engine, of its work. On board, three sailors seek space for their desires. But on the Talafì, humanity does not exist, there are only those who abuse and those who are abused. The film premiered at the Linea d’ombra Festival 2022.

Giovanni Merlini
Giovanni Merlini was born in 1996 in Teramo, Italy, but grew up in the port city of San Benedetto del Tronto. He studied film production at the Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan. In 2018 he founded Giungla Collective.
