VR&IDENTITY: MEETING WITH STEFANO LAZZARI AND STEFANIA OPERTO

Virtual space needs to be inhabited and the first inhabitant is the spectator. With Stefania Operto and Stefano Lazzari, in the metaverse Stex Auer, we will try to define the role and the identity of the spectator and of the participants of virtual environments. We will try to answer how and if these roles and identities are generative of stories and what future the spectator/inhabitant will have in the virtual world.

STEFANO LAZZARI

“It is time for technology to be reflected in culture and not vice versa. This thought sums up twenty years of work in digital, from publishing to marketing to social media management. Since 2006 I had an avatar in the Metaverse, followed by many others. Stex Auer is my digital twin. In 2016 I founded Digitalguys.it, a network of professionals working on ethics, digital culture and design, virtual ways and social media.

STEFANIA OPERTO

Stefania Operto, sociologist, expert in methods and techniques for social research, PhD in Sociology. She has worked for over twenty years as a researcher and lecturer with universities, companies, organisations and research institutions. She is interested in the impact of technologies on social and identity-building processes and is part of study and research projects on the relationship between humans and machines (Human-Robot Interaction).
