TSFF ACADEMY

Alpe Adria Cinema has been interested in the education of young people since the very beginning, and one of its main goals has always been to introduce the new generations to the world of cinema: in fact, in the first years of the festival, the juries that awarded the prizes to the films in competition were composed of high school seniors and university students.

Over the years, thanks to this habit and also thanks to a program that increasingly seeks to be transversal and of interest to viewers of all types and generations, the number of students has consolidated and has grown steadily.

We have therefore created the TSFF ACADEMY: every year the festival gives the opportunity to 40 students, carefully selected, to participate in the event enjoying hospitality and accreditation for 3 nights.

Their presence in Trieste sees them involved not only in the screenings but also in specific courses that include participation in master classes, in-depth studies on virtual reality, meetings with guests and with the festival selectors. The selected students are also asked to produce some reviews of the films screened during the festival.

The students are hosted in facilities such as B&B and hostels in the city center, so that they can not only enjoy the festival program, but also discover the area and enjoy their stay in the city.

Also in the online version the festival has promoted for the third consecutive year the TSFF ACADEMY project: the festival has given the opportunity to 40 university students from different Italian universities to participate in the festival. The students benefited from free accreditation to follow the festival, with indications of specific paths to follow.

The film academies we involved were: IULM – Free University of Languages and Communication – Milan, Scuola Civica di Cinema Luchino Visconti – Milan, University of Bologna, University of Florence, University of Messina, University of Padua, University of Pavia, University of Salerno.
