Sul TGV Ginevra-Marsiglia, un uomo e una donna, che sembrano non avere nulla in comune, fanno conoscenza. Lui ha trent’anni, lei trentasette. Lui vende automobili, lei è una biologa. Lei sta andando a Marsiglia per un importante convegno, lui torna a Tolosa reduce da un incidente d’auto. Si trovano a dividere la stessa camera d’albergo. Continuano a osservarsi e a discutere, finendo per tracciare lo stato attuale dei rapporti tra uomo e donna.
Genève-Marseille è stato girato in cinque giorni, partendo da un trattamento senza sequenze né dialoghi per lasciare spazio all’improvvisazione.
On the TGV between Geneva and Marseilles, a man and a woman who appear to have nothing in common, become acquainted. He is 30, she 37. He sells cars, she is a biologist. She is going to Marseilles for an important congress, he is going back to Toulouse following an accident he had with his car on holiday. Eventually, they share a hotel room. Continuing to observe each other and talking, they trace out the present state of relations between man and woman.
Geneva-Marseilles was filmed in five days, starting with a script that had neither sequences nor dialogue to let the performance grow out of improvisation. |
