Aprile 1989: Petya compie diciotto anni ed č con gli amici nel solito ritrovo, quello di Piazza Mosca, una delle piazze piů grandi e note di Budapest. Come loro altri giovani, tutti ad aspettare notizie su qualche festa in giro per la cittŕ. Una bottiglia di champagne russo gira fra le mani dei ragazzi, qualcuno ha un indirizzo: la notte puň cominciare. Anche a scuola c'č un po' di confusione: la situazione politica sta cambiando e Petya con i suoi compagni deve affrontare un esame di fine corso. Fra giri in Porsche per far colpo sulle ragazze, filmetti porno, nuotate notturne e proibite nella piscina dell'Hotel Gellért, arriva maggio, la fine della scuola. Petya piů che alla scuola sembra essere interessato soprattutto a una sua compagna di classe che, quando anche gli esami finiscono, se ne va a Parigi: č il pretesto buono per iniziare un giro in treno per l'Europa, vedere finalmente altre cittŕ e vivere altre situazioni... April 1989: it's Petya's 18th birthday and he is with his friends in their usual haunt in Moscow Square, one of the biggest and most popular squares in Budapest. The place is full of kids, all waiting to hear news of a party being held somewhere in town. A bottle of Russian champagne gets passed around, then one of them is given an address: the evening is about to begin. Things are rather confused at school too; the political situation is changing and Petya and his schoolmates have to take the end-of-year exams. May and the end of term come quickly, with rides in Porsches to impress the girls, porn films and forbidden midnight swims in the Gellért Hotel pool to help pass the time. Petya is more interested in one of his classmates than in school, but she goes off to Paris when the exams are over. This seems a good opportunity to take a train trip round Europe and see other towns at last and experience different worlds... Best First Film and Audience Prize at the last edition of the Hungarian Film Week.
