Il Cinema Houet è un edificio rettangolare, dai muri alti e di cemento. I posti a sedere sono delle lunghe panche disposte a scalare. Lo schermo è dipinto, in bianco, sul muro di fronte agli spettatori e alla cabina di proiezione. La cabina dispone di due proiettori, ci sono bobine vuote accatastate al muro e un tavolo di montaggio. Questo è il luogo dove, da 33 anni, lavora Drissa Konaté, proiezionista a Bobo-Dioulasso in Burkina Faso..
The Houet Cinema is a rectangular building, with high concrete walls. The seating is just a banked series of long benches. The screen is a whitewashed section of wall in front of the audience and the projection room, which has two projectors. Empty reels are piled up against the wall and on the editing table. This is where Drissa Konaté, the projectionist at Bobo-Dioulasso, in Burkina Faso, has been working for the past thirty-three years... |
