Stephanie, Karina, Constanze e Prodromos sono quattro ragazzi appassionati di teatro. Il regista, con uno sguardo a lungo termine, li segue nell’arco di sette anni: dalla preparazione per gli esami d’accesso alla scuola di recitazione, al diploma finale che segna una tappa importante anche se non definitiva della loro carriera. La macchina da presa registra la loro passione per la recitazione, i tanti dubbi sul futuro, i contrasti in famiglia, la voglia di riuscire. Il film li accompagna nella loro ricerca di un’identità e di un’immagine; li segue nei loro progressi verso la maturità come attori e come individui. Alla fine degli studi, i ragazzi si fermano a riflettere su cosa ne sia stato dei loro sogni e obiettivi originari.
Stephanie, Karina, Constanze and Prodromos are four young people with a passion for the theatre. With an eye to the long term, the director follows them over seven years: from preparing for the entrance examination to the drama school, to getting their final diplomas, an important but not definitive stage in their careers. The camera records their passion for acting, their many doubts about the future, the clashes with their families and the drive to succeed. The film traces their quest for an identity and an image, it follows their progress towards maturity both as actors and as persons. When they finish studying, they stop to reflect on what happened to their original dreams and aims. |
