A Russian steel and brick factory, apparently retrieved from the late 19th century and deposited in the present. The man as an extension of a machine, the flames and fumes of a smelter, moulding of clay and steel. This film is about a human being as a part of the machinery world or a machinery world as a part of human world. So, one day in a factory can seem like the whole life. Fabrika is a sort of counterpart of the previous film Landschaft, screened at Trieste Film Festival during the last edition. Instead of the countryside village is the city, the freezing winter has become burning fire, instead the exterior there is the interior.
