1690: nella Germania del nord. La contessa Sophia Dorothea von Wilhelmsburg vive rinchiusa nel castello dove l'ha relegata il marito. Con lei il fedele servitore turco. Cosa li lega? Un giorno la contessa gli ordina di andarsene. Vai! Ritorna da dove vieni! Il servitore, tentenna, non comprende. Si lascia cacciare. Per ritornare dove? Una distesa verde nella nebbia invernale. La contessa, durante una delle sue passeggiate a cavallo, trova il corpo dell'uomo. Assiderato.
1690: Northern Germany. Countess Sophia Dorothea von Wilhelmsburg lives a cloistered life in the castle where her husband has confined her. Here she stays with her faithful Turkish servant. What holds them together? One day the Countess orders him to leave. "Go! Go back where you came from!" The servant hesitates; he doesn't understand. He is chased off. But where to go? A big green field in the winter fog. On one of her morning rides the Countess finds the man's body - frozen to death. |
