La vita della famiglia Tadsibaev, composta da marito, moglie e sei ragazzi, circensi girovaghi che viaggiano lungo la strada Pechino - Mosca su uno scassato furgone in cui vivono. Attraversano strade accidentate, si fermano in villaggi remoti, dove si esibiscono all’aria aperta per guadagnarsi da vivere.
“Non riesco a trovare parole che possano descrivere in modo interessante delle persone che mettono in moto un minibus, viaggiano attraverso la steppa, mangiano, dormono, litigano e si amano. Non c’è niente di sensazionale e a parole ogni cosa sembra banale. Non è così sullo schermo. Ho compreso che è stupido cercare di descrivere ciò che non si può descrivere: la bellezza e il mistero degli esseri umani e della natura.” (Sergej Dvorcevoj)
The life of the Tadsibaev family, comprising husband, wife and six children, a restless circus family travelling along the Beijing-Moscow highway in a beat-up van in which they live. They travel along potholed roads, stop in remote villages and present their show in the open air to earn their living.
“I cannot find words to describe in an interesting way the people who climb aboard a minibus, travel across the steppe, eat, sleep, argue and love in it. There’s nothing sensational in this and words make it seem banal. It is different on the screen.
