Praga, 1992 – la capitale di un piccolo regno immaginario. Un giovane principe sta per prendere moglie. Contro tutte le aspettative, a un ballo da fiaba sceglie come sua sposa una ragazza bella ma povera e semplice. Dopo un difficile parto, il neonato sparisce. Scoperta una relazione clandestina con un servo, il principe rinchiude la principessa in una prigione sotterranea. Ma da questo momento in poi la donna gli appare continuamente. Č ancora viva? Non č lei? Č riuscita a fuggire o č soltanto il riflesso della cattiva coscienza del sovrano? La contaminazione fra realtŕ e allucinazioni si intensifica, in forma di orge fantasmagoriche... Solo la morte riunirŕ il principe e la principessa.
Prague, 1992 – the capital of a small, imaginary kingdom. A young prince is going to marry. Contrary to all expectations, at a fairytale ball he chooses a beautiful, poor and wild girl as his bride. After a difficult delivery, their son vanishes. The princess is discovered to have had an adulterous affair with a servant and the prince has her flung into an underground dungeon. From this moment she begins to appear before him continually. Is she still alive? Is it really her? Has she managed to escape, or is it just his dirty conscience playing tricks? The mingling of reality and hallucination gets more and more vivid and the visions start to take the form of phantasmagoric orgies... Only the death will bring them together again. |
