In seguito al recente cambio di potere in Austria, quattro registi hanno deciso di realizzare un’indagine 'per immagini' sull’Austria, ciascuno a modo suo. Lo scopo era di documentare la situazione politico-sociale del paese e della popolazione. Nel corso delle loro interviste, i quattro registi hanno incontrato persone le cui vite mescolano dimensioni private e politiche. "Ho imparato qualcosa di nuovo sull’Austria e ho incontrato non solo cose che mi hanno disilluso e depresso, ma anche una forza che mi dà una ragione di speranza." In the wake of the recent change of power in Austria, four film makers set out to conduct a cinematic survey of Austria, each in his or her own way. The purpose was to document the political and social state of the nation and its people. In the course of their quest for microcosmic revelations, the four encountered people whose lives are compounded of both private and political dimensions. "I have learnt something new about Austria. And I have encountered not only things that have left me disillusioned and dispirited but also a strength which gives me reason to hope."
