Terza parte di Die Josef - Trilogie, seguita a Tascheninhalt und Nasenbluten, e Blindgänger. I primi due cortometraggi raccontano la storia di cinque boscaioli, Josef, Josef, Josef, Josef e Josef, che vorrebbero girare il Canada in lungo e in largo, ma possono permettersi solo una vecchia auto, e le avventure di Mira, agricoltrice tormentata dal padre, dal fratello, dalla sorella e dal nonno, che vorrebbe fuggire in Canada con cinque taglialegna.
In Girls and Cars, singolare road-movie fatto di pochi dialoghi, ritroviamo quattro dei cinque Josef, che hanno ormai lasciato il Vecchio Continente, mentre percorrono l'intero territorio canadese alla ricerca del quinto compare. Durante il viaggio, incontrano una pin-up, delle spogliarelliste gemelle e molte belle macchine.
Girls and Cars is the third part of Die Josef - Trilogie, which comprises also Tascheninhalt und Nasenbluten and Blindgänger. The first short film told the story of five lumberjacks Josef, Josef, Josef, Josef and Josef. They want to travel around Canada but the only thing they have to offer is an ageing car. The second short film features the adventures of Mira, a farmer’s wife harassed by her father, brother, sister and grandfather, who want to escape to Canada with five lumberjacks.
In Girls and Cars, a strange road-movie with scarcely any dialogue, we’re back with the other four Josefs, this time they’re leaving the Old Continent for the New. Searching the whole of Canada to find the fifth, they encounter a pin-up girl, twin strippers and a lot of good-looking cars. |
