Kosovo, primavera 2000. L'inverno č finito, ma solo nel senso meteorologico. Rovine e sofferenza. I segni della devastazione in un paesaggio illuminato dal sole. "Deca" e "fëmijët" significano "bambini" in serbo e in albanese: queste parole non trovano posto nel dizionario irrazionale della guerra, anche se sono proprio i bambini le vittime piů indifese di questa guerra alimentata da un odio folle. Besarta, Violeta, Edmond e Valdrin, Miljana e Jelena sono bambini albanesi e serbi: il film racconta la loro storia in bianco e nero, con immagini a colori in Super8 girate dai bambini stessi.
Kosovo in the spring of 2000. Winter is over but in a meteorological sense only. Ruins and pain. The marks of devastation in the sunny landascape. Two words: "deca" e "fëmijët", they mean "children" in Serb and Albanian. These expressions have no place in the irrational dictionary of war. It is the children though who are the most defenceless victims of this war governed by mad hatred. Besarta, Violeta, Edmond and Valdrin, Miljana and Jelena are Albanian and Serb children, the film tells their story in black and white with colour Super8 images shot by the children themselves. |
