Margit ha 46 anni, è divorziata e lavora in banca. Ha due figli e un fidanzato che la rispetta. È quella che si dice "una donna forte" e apparentemente in grado di gestire la sua vita molto bene. Ma la decisione di suo figlio Hans di sposare Anna, una donna russa, la mette in crisi. L'incontro tra le due famiglie è turbato da sentimenti ambivalenti e pregiudizi: Margit cade in un circolo di alcool e depressione. Il fidanzato la lascia. Margit ha paura di perdere il controllo sul figlio. Comincia a progettare un piano che le faccia riacquistare potere e le eviti una vita in solitudine. Ma non si preoccupa delle conseguenze.....
Margit is 46 years old, divorced and works in a bank. She has two children and a boyfriend who respects her. She is what is called a "strong woman" and is to all appearances quite able to manage her life. However, her son Hans' decision to marry Anna, a Russian, sets up a conflict in her. The encounter between the two families is troubled by ambivalent feelings and prejudices: Margit slides into a downward spiral of alcohol and depression. Her boyfriend leaves her. Margit fears she will lose control of her son. She begins to form a plan to enable her to acquire power once more and avoid a life in solitude. But she forgets the consequences… |
