Il lavoro è stato ispirato dal lavoro musicale rückenwind di shabotinski... L’intenzione, in rewind, era quella di usare la musica stessa come elemento interpretativo delle immagini. Lo scopo finale era quello di creare una relazione simbiotica fra materiale sonoro e quello visivo. La struttura e la composizione della canzone rückenwind è stata utilizzata come movimento continuo e lineare. Le interferenze acustiche vengono riprodotte come se fossero impurità visive... Tecnicamente parlando, l’interferenza visiva è stata estratta per filtrazione dal livello musicale per mezzo di algoritmi e traferita al livello visivo tramite un’opera di ri-codificazione.” [n:ja]
“The basis or inspiration for this video was the musical work rückenwind by shabotinski... The intention in rewind was to use the music itself for a visual interpretation of the images. The ultimate goal was to create a symbiotic relationship between the audio and visual material. The structure and composition of the song rückenwind was interpreted as a continuous, linear movement. Acoustic interferences are reproduced as visual impurities... In a purely technical sense, the visual interference was filtered out of the musical level by means of algorithms and transferred to the visual level through recoding.” [n:ja] |
