Romania 10 anni dopo la caduta del regime comunista. Sulina è l'ultima città sulle rive del Danubio prima del Mar Nero. Circondata dalla zona paludosa del delta del fiume, la città è tagliata fuori dal resto del mondo. Una volta era una prosperosa città commerciale, adesso è in declino a causa del crollo del regime comunista. Questo documentario ritrae quattro persone, che rappresentano tre generazioni diverse, che lottano quotidianamente per la sopravvivenza. Romania 10 years after the fall of the communist regime. Sulina is the last town on the Danube before the Black Sea. Surrounded by the low-flying marshes of the river delta, the town is cut off from the rest of the world. It was once a prosperous commercial centre but is now in decline because of the collapse of the regime. This documentary follows the lives of four people representing three different generations, who struggle daily to survive. Their struggle becomes a metaphor for the Romania of today, a country that exists like an island with an uncertain future.
