"A partire da un mattino come ce ne sono spesso nella vita di una coppia, filmo il silenzio che esce da questa intimità. L'uomo e la donna si svegliano, fanno l'amore. Non è neanche che non si amano più. Non lo si sa e poi non è questo il punto. Il problema è piuttosto questa opacità legata alla ripetizione dei gesti... A forza di frequentarsi non ci si vede più, è il paradosso più comune delle coppie... E poi questo incontro molto ravvicinato nel metrò. Il metrò è il luogo ideale per filmare l'estraneità perché la promiscuità è fatta da persone che non si conoscono. Questa volta, invece, in questo luogo che per essenza non è un luogo d'accoglienza, c'è un incontro..." (Licia Eminenti)
"Starting with the sort of morning that frequently occurs in the life of a couple, I film the silence that emerges from this intimacy. The man and woman awake, make love. It's not even that they don't love one another any more. We don't know this and besides, this isn't the point. The problem is rather the opacity linked to the repetition of their movements… Through frequenting one other, we don't see each other any more; this is the most common paradox of couples… And then this close encounter in the metro. The metro is the ideal place to film extraneousness because the promiscuity is made up of people who do not know each other. This time, instead, in this place which by its essence is not a meeting place, an encounter takes place…" (Licia Eminenti) |
