La vicenda si svolge tra bellissime foreste. Alcuni boscaioli di mezza età si innamorano delle ragazze di un gruppo di lavoro venute a piantare alberi. Gli approcci galanti hanno fine quando una delle giovani annuncia di essere incinta. I maldestri seduttori sono smascherati dalle loro stesse mogli, che a modo loro tentano di vendicarsi dell’ infedeltà dei coniugi. Il complesso intreccio ha un lieto fine.
"A quell’epoca, i progetti che mi interessavano erano proibiti, così feci una commedia. Era una cosa che mi incuriosiva, perché in precedenza avevo preferito le commistioni di tragico e comico, ponendo l’accento su tocchi di nero. Senza questa esperienza non sarebbe stata possibile la sequenza bourlesque della sepoltura del padre Pichanda in Tisîcroãná vãela ". (Juraj Jakubisko)
The film unwinds in the middle of beautiful forests. Some middle-aged woodsmen fall in love with the girls in a workgroup that has come to plant some trees. Their gallantries come to an end when one of the women announces that she is pregnant. The clumsy seducers are unmasked by their own wives, who in their own way try to get their own back for their husbands’ infidelity. The complex tale has a happy ending.
"At that time, the projects that interested me were prohibited, so I made a comedy. It was something I was curious about, because previously I had preferred a mixture of tragic and comic, placing the stress on black humour.
