Martin e Max hanno dieci anni e vivono a Horno, un villaggio della Germania orientale che presto esisterą solo nei loro ricordi. Nonostante le macchine per l’estrazione del carbone si stiano avvicinando sempre di pił, i due continuano a introdursi nelle case abbandonate per cercare materiale adatto a costruire la loro piccola abitazione. Una settimana dopo la fine delle riprese del documentario, i ragazzini sono stati costretti a lasciare il loro villaggio per sempre.



Martin and Max, 10-year-old, are living in Horno, a village in Eastern Germany which soon will only exist in their memory. Even though the coal-dredgers are getting closer every day, the two friends are still entering abandoned houses in order to find building material for their own small house. Only one week after the shooting of this film, the boys had to leave their homeland forever.
