Belgrado 1993, scoppia della guerra civile. Nel paese la più grande inflazione della storia umana. Un gruppo di persone entra in uno studio. Chi sono? Cosa vogliono? Di che si tratta? Rastko âiriç, cartoonist, illustratore, professore e il suo gruppo di amici musicisti cominciano a lavorare a un misterioso progetto. Ricostruire e ricreare le canzoni perdute della più famosa band della storia, i Beatles. E mentre essi lavorano al progetto, il paese sta andando a pezzi. Scontri nelle strade, bombe e disperazione... Ma la missione impossibile riesce. The Rubber Soul Project è una storia sulla creatività contro la distruzione, sulla devozione contro la disperazione. Il film finisce a New York presso il monumento dedicato a John Lennon, fine di un’avventura musicale nella convinzione che la musica può cambiare il mondo. The Rubber Soul è un invito a un’avventura spirituale nel regno dei colori e della musica. Gli autori vogliono naturalmente dedicare questo lavoro ai Beatles e alla loro musica. Ma anche a tutti i sognatori di questo insonne mondo di oggi.
Belgrade 1993. Outbreak of Civil War. The greatest inflation in the history of Civilization. The group of people entering the studio. Who are they? What do they really want? What is this all about? Rastko âiriç, cartoonist, animator, ilustrator, professor, and the group of his friends musicians, starting to work on mysterious project. Reconstructing and re-creating of the lost songs of the Beatles, the greatest band in the history. While they work, the country is falling apart. Clashes on the street, then bombing and despair... But mission impossible succeeded. The Rubber Soul Project is story about creativity against destruction, devotion against desperation. The film ends in New York on memorial site of John Lennon, final destination of the musical adventure in the belief that music can change the world. The Rubber Soul is an invitation for the spiritual adventure in the kingdom of colours and music. The authors want to dedicate this work, naturally to the Beatles and their music. But also to all the dreamers in the sleepless world of today. |
