I tre episodi del film hanno un elemento in comune: mettono in scena gente timida con un vano desiderio di essere felice in amore. Il primo, Pokusenî manipulanta (Le tentazioni dell’impiegato), ha per eroe un piccolo impiegato che passa le sue serate a sognare belle donne. Un giorno si decide ad agire. Ritira tutti i suoi risparmi, comincia a frequentare i night e conosce finalmente una ragazza che viene nel suo appartamento con altri amici. Ma la giovane si addormenta prima che lo spedizioniere abbia il tempo di baciarla. La cameriera di un vagone ristorante č l’eroina di Nastenciny sny (I sogni di Nastenka). Anche lei, per dimenticare il suo lavoro quotidiano, sogna di amori sublimi e inebrianti: le sue fantasie sono soprattutto un celebre cantante e un bell’ufficiale. Dobrodruzstoî sirotka Rudolfa (L’avventura dell’orfano Rudolf) racconta le curiose vicissitudini notturne di un uomo ordinario che arriva per caso a una festa nell’alta societŕ, dove tutti sono giŕ eccitati e in cui la piů bella delle donne gli accorda i propri favori. L’indomani egli cerca invano quella villa elegante…
The three episodes in this film have one feature in common: they all include shy people who share the vain hope of being happy in love. In the first episode, Pokusenî manipulanta (A Clerk’s Temptation), the hero is a clerk who spends his evenings dreaming of beautiful women. One day he decides to act. He withdraws all his savings and starts spending a lot of time in nightclubs. He finally gets to know a girl who comes to his flat with some friends, but then falls asleep before he has had the chance to kiss her. A waitress in a restaurant car is the heroine in Nastenciny sny (Nastenka’s Dreams). In order to forget her dreary job, she too escapes into a dreamland of heady and overwhelming loves. In this case she fantasises about being involved with a famous singer and a handsome officer. Dobrodruzstoî sirotka Rudolfa (The Adventures of Rudolf the Orphan) tells of the curious night-time escapes of an ordinary man who is introduced by chance into a high-society gathering, at which the most beautiful woman agrees to grant him her favours. Next day he tries in vain to find the elegant villa. |
