Il film, nei modi della docu-fiction, copre un periodo di 45 anni, dal 1958 al 2003. La stessa etŕ di Nedžad Begović all’epoca delle riprese. Un arco temporale, che permette all’autore di ricordare l’epoca del comunismo, socialismo o titoismo che dir si voglia, ma anche gli anni della guerra e del dopo-guerra in Bosnia, quando il socialismo ormai non c’era piů. L’autore attraversa questi momenti storici con uno sguardo del tutto personale, limitando volutamente il proprio raggio d’osservazione a famigliari e amici. Narrando in prima persona la storia, egli ricorda vari episodi, spesso non collegati fra loro: dalla prima televisione del quartiere a come si sentiva un giovane comunista di successo durante la Jugoslavia di Tito, passando attraverso il matrimonio in etŕ adulta e arrivando alla faticosa realizzazione di questo film, senza soldi e in una Bosnia dopoguerra.
A film that, through a documentary fiction form, includes a period of 45 years (1958 - 2003). That is the age of the screenwriter and director of this film (at the time of shooting). It’s a substantial period of time for the author to remember the time of communism, socialism or Titoism, however you please. It’s a substantial period of time for the author to remember the time of war and the time after the war in Bosnia, when socialism was no longer there. The author passes through these historical periods whit totally personal lenses, limiting his horizons to family and friends. Narrating the story himself, he shares his memories through a series of loosely connected vignettes - from having the first television on the block, to how he perceived as a successful young communist when Bosnia was part of Tito´s Yugoslavia, through to adult childhood, marriage, and struggling to make the film without money in today´s post-war period. |
