Budapest, anni Trenta: László e sua moglie Ilona hanno un piccolo ristorante. Il posto comincia a diventare famoso anche per una canzone, composta dal giovane pianista András Aradi e dedicata da lui alla proprietaria. Ilona infatti č innamorata di entrambi e riesce a condurre un appassionato ménage a tre. Ma arriva un giovane uomo d'affari tedesco, Hans Eberhard Wieck, che rimane conquistato dalla cucina di László, dalla musica di András e dalla bellezza di Ilona, di cui si innamora senza esserne ricambiato. Qualche anno piů tardi, nella Budapest occupata dai Nazisti, Hans ritorna vestendo l'uniforme delle SS.
Budapest in the Thirties: László and his wife Ilona run a small restaurant. The place begins to acquire a certain fame, helped by a song composed by the young pianist András Aradi and dedicated by him to the proprietress. Ilona finds she is in love with both her husband and the pianist and manages to conduct a passionate ménage a trois. One day, a young German businessman, Hans Eberhard Wieck, arrives in the restaurant and is overwhelmed by László's cooking, András's music and Ilona's beauty, with whom he promptly falls in love, without his love being returned. Hans returns to a Budapest occupied by the Germans a few years later wearing an SS uniform. |
