È la storia di un uomo che cerca asilo dove molte persone provenienti da paesi meno fortunati sperano di poter vivere: in Germania. Chi cerca asilo vive spesso in condizioni disumane. Vive nell'incertezza, non sapendo fino all'ultimo se potrà restare nel paese dove si è rifugiato o verrà rispedito in patria. Questo film narra l'ultimo giorno di un rifugiato prima dell'espulsione. Racconta la sua disperazione, l'impotenza di fronte a un'assurda e dolorosa situazione, la fine della speranza. È un gioco al gatto e il topo, tra i funzionari dello stato e il rifugiato. Quando finisce l'umanità inizia l'espulsione.
The film tells the story of a man seeking asylum where many people from less fortunate countries hope to live: Germany. Those seeking asylum often have to live in inhuman conditions. They live in uncertainty, not knowing until the last moment whether they will be able to stay in the country where they are trying to find shelter or be sent back where they came from. The film covers a refugee's last day before being expelled. It reveals his desperation, his powerlessness in the face of an absurd and painful situation; the end of hope. It is a game of cat and mouse, between civil servants and the refugee. When humanity ends, expulsion begins. |
