Dedicato alla regista Vera Chytilová, esponente di spicco della nova vlná. Ritratto di una combattiva signora di 74 anni, che trova ancora la voglia di portare avanti le sue battaglie professionali e personali. Sempre all’insegna di un grande amore per il cinema.
"Ho osato abbastanza per riuscire a fare quello che ho voluto, anche se a volte č stato un errore", dice la Chytilová mentre la vediamo aggirarsi in cucina, mettere in ordine i numerosi premi ricevuti e riflettere sulla scarsa accoglienza avuta dal suo ultimo film (Vyhnáni z ráje, del 2001).
Dedicated to the director Vera Chytilová, a leading exponent of the nova vlná. This is the portrait of a combative 74-year-old lady, who still has the will to prosecute her professional personal battles beneath the banner of her love for the cinema.
"I have dared enough to succeed in doing what I wanted, although sometimes this turned out to be an error" states Chytilová while we watch her wandering around the kitchen, tidying the various awards she has received, and reflecting on the poor reception of her latest film (Vyhnáni z ráje, 2001). |
