"Il film mostra i giochi brutali che quattro bambini infliggono ad un gatto in una fabbrica abbandonata. Puň darsi che alla fine riusciremo a decidere quale di loro sia il gatto...
La storia si ambienta a Budapest, in una cittŕ distrutta dalle bombe della Seconda guerra mondiale, ma si potrebbe svolgere in qualsiasi altra cittŕ, europea e non, durante qualunque altra guerra del ventesimo secolo. Non so quali esperienze abbiano vissuto quei bambini ... Volevo solo scoprire se nei nostri ricordi č rimasto qualcosa del loro profondo dolore." (P. Mészáros)
"The film shows the brutal games four boys play with a cat in an abandoned factory hall. Perhaps, by the end of the film we will be able to decide which one of them is the cat.
The story is set in Budapest, the city ruined by bombs during World War II, but it could take place in any other city in or outside Europe during any other war in the 20th century. I do not know what experiences those children had ... I was only interested to find out whether their buried pain was still there in our memories..." (P. Mészáros) |
