Fu amore a prima vista, anche se la monografia su Caravaggio che lei aveva appena comperato finì dentro una pozzanghera nel bel mezzo di un acquazzone. Poi, a Irena e Vlada bastò solo una serata per decidere di vivere assieme. Questo provocò uno choc agli amici della neo coppia: a Bane, l’amico piuttosto infantile di Vlada e ad Anja, l’amica del cuore di Irena, spaventata dall’idea di rimanere sola. Durante quei tre anni, comunque, gli amici si abituarono all’idea che i due vivevano solo per loro stessi. Ma poi le cose iniziarono a cambiare: anche l’attrazione più forte comincia a vacillare sotto il peso della vita quotidiana. E fu rottura quando Maria, l’ex di Vlada, tornò a Belgrado per un periodo e causò fra i due un litigio senza fine. E non essendoci nulla a tenerli uniti, fu così che alla fine Irena decise di mettere assieme le sue cose e di tornare dalla madre. Ma non sarebbe potuta essere la "prima vera commedia romantica Serba" se i due, con un po’ d’aiuto da parte delle persone coinvolte, non fossero poi tornati di nuovo assieme.
It was love at first sight, even though the book on Caravaggio she had just bought ended up in a puddle in the middle of a shower. In fact it only took Irena and Vlada an evening to decide to live together. This was a shock for the new couple’s friends: Bane, Vlada’s rather childish friend and Anja, Irena’s best friend, who was scared to be left alone. During those three years the friends got used to the idea that the couple only had time for one another. But then things began to change: even the most powerful attraction begins to wane under the relentless pressure of everyday life. The split came when Maria, Vlada’s ex, came back from Belgrade for a while and sparked an endless row between the two. There was nothing left to keep them together, so Irena decided to gather her things and go back to live with her mother. But this couldn’t have been the "first real Serbian romantic comedy" if the two hadn’t got back together again with a little help from their friends. |
