Józef ha vissuto per anni in un monastero, fingendosi frate, per sfuggire a una moglie infedele e alla repressione comunista. Quando un giorno deve sostituire un confratello, che canta in un coro e che deve partecipare a una manifestazione di musica religiosa, viene riconosciuto dalla moglie e dalla figlia presenti al concerto. Le autorità religiose, scandalizzate, lo cacciano dal monastero. L’uomo viene perciò ospitato dalla moglie. A causa dell’isolamento prolungato in cui è vissuto, Józef non si rende conto dei cambiamenti portati dal crollo del Comunismo e si ritrova in un contesto completamente cambiato: la moglie vive con un uomo d’affari e i figli, ormai adulti, sono immersi in un mondo a lui estraneo e sgradevole, fatto di politica, real TV e web. Solo quando cercherà di tornare a essere un padre e un modello per i propri figli, Józef scoprirà come stanno veramente le cose... "“Col mio film, voglio incoraggiare le persone a prendere quelle decisioni difficili, i cui effetti si vedono nel lungo periodo, ma alla fine sono benefici. Domani, il tempo potrebbe volgere al meglio. Anche se i suoi meccanismi vanno al di là del nostro controllo, tuttavia noi dovremmo sempre sperare che migliori." (Jerzy Stuhr)

Józef has for years lived in a monastery, pretending to be a monk to flee his unfaithful wife and the communist repression. When he has to fill in for a brother monk one day, he finds himself having to sing in a choir and take part in a presentation of religious music, but he is recognised by his wife and daughter who are at the concert. Scandalised, the religious authorities throw him out of the monastery, and the man is taken in by his wife. Because of the prolonged isolation in which he has lived, Józef is unaware of the changes resulting from the collapse of communism and finds himself in a completely new context: the wife lives with a businessman and his children, now adult, are immersed in a world which is both strange and abhorrent to him, made of politics, real TV and internet. Only when he tries to be a father again and a model for his children will Józef discover how things really stand... "With my film, I want to encourage taking those difficult decisions whose healing effects may take long to come, but in the long run, are certainly worth the trouble. Tomorrow the weather may turn for the better. Its vicissitudes being completely beyond our control, we should, however, always hope it is going to improve." (Jerzy Stuhr)
