GoCritic! is a training programme for emerging film journalists and critics. It is organized by Cineuropa together with various European film festivals and it is the first pan-European training programme of its kind, conducted in English. Through festival workshops led by acclaimed film journalists and critics, followed by a period of online tutoring to ensure continuity in the participants' work, GoCritic! aims to improve their skills of writing about cinema. Their articles will be published on Cineuropa’s main page. GoCritic! will empower aspiring journalists and critics beyond writing skills, providing them with a deep insight into the film industry and thus contributing to European cinema in general. GoCritic! will create a new journalistic community which will freshen up the existing circles with new ideas, through perspective of younger generations, and move the dialogue on developments in film industry on to a new level. Tutor at the Trieste workshop will be the GoCritic! Head of Studies Vladan Petković, with Project Manager Marina Burić as coordinator.
