Trieste Film Festival and WEMW present the fourth edition of LAST STOP TRIESTE, a work in progress section for documentary projects in the final editing stage (fine cut) previously developed/presented in one of our partners platform: Ex-Oriente Film Workshop, BDC Discoveries by Balkan Documentary Center, Docu Rough Cut Boutique of Sarajevo, Baltic Sea Docs, Zagreb- Dox PRO and When East Meets West.
Selected documentary fine cuts will be screened to an exclusive panel of approximately 40 international sales agents, festival programmers and TV commissioning editors with the aim of enhancing their potential of being selected at top festivals and their chances of distribution, as well as getting valuable feedback. An international jury composed by Sabine Bubeck-Paaz ZDF/ARTE (Germany), Ryan Harrington HOT DOCS (Canada), Esther van Messel FIRST HAND FILMS (Switzerland) will deliver the special HBO EUROPE award to the best project.
Last Stop Trieste is organized by the Trieste Film Festival and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Audiovisual Fund, with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA Programme, CEI – Central European Initiative, MiBACT – Direzione Cinema and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The project coordinator is Rada Sesić, Programmer of the Sarajevo Film Festival.
