ŠPELA ČADEŽ

Born in 1977 in Ljubljana, Špela Čadež is an animation director and co-founder of Finta Studio. Her films have received over a hundred awards at festivals worldwide and were screened in competition selections such as the Sundance Film Festival, Clermont Ferrand and Annecy. A passionate advocate for the analogue, Čadež has impressed with films in puppet and cut-out animation techniques. In 2018 Špela has been invited to become a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 2014 her animation Boles won the Trieste FF Shrot Film Competition, while Nighthawk was presented during the 29th edition of the festival.

WIM VANACKER

After studying psychology in Belgium, Wim Vanacker moved to Dublin to work as a psychologist in the field of drug addiction. He picked up studying again at EICAR where he made two short films. After graduating, he discovered NISI MASA – European Network of Young Cinema where he became the Head of the Script Department and the Project manager of the MEDIA funded project, European Short Pitch. Furthermore, he’s a member of the Selection Committee for the Official Short Film Competition at Cannes and he works as the Editorial Consultant for First Cut Lab. On the side, he works as a script consultant, creative advisor, programmer, tutor and guest speaker for many workshops, film festivals and projects in development.

GERALD WEBER

Gerald Weber was born in 1965 in Vienna. He studied film, history and geography. He co-founded in 1996 “projektor”, a discussion forum on film, video and new media. Since 1998 he is deputy managing director of sixpackfilm, an international distribution sales agency of Austrian short and experimental films and videos. Weber is also a curator of film programs, occasionally lectures and publications on film and music.
