ANDREA ADRIATICO
Andrea Adriatico, born in 1966 in L’Aquila, is an Italian film director, journalist and lecturer. He has made several films including Il vento, di sera (2004) starring Corso Salani and the more recent Gli anni amari (2020) a biopic dedicated to one of the most important personalities of the Italian alternative culture of the 1970s, Mario Mieli. He is the artistic director of Teatri di Vita in Bologna, a city space dedicated to the international contemporary theatrical scene. He also teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
MASSIMO CAUSO
Born in 1965 in Taranto, Italian film critic and programmer, Massimo Causo works with the Torino Film Festival, the European Film Festival in Lecce, the Medfilm Festival in Rome and the ShorTS IFF in Trieste. He is a member of the European Film Academy and as a programmer has curated exhibitions and retrospectives on authors and actors for public institutions and film festivals. He is a member of the editorial board of “Filmcritica”, and editor for periodicals such as “Il Ragazzo Selvaggio” – a magazine of cinema for schools – and “Cineforum”, among the others. He is the author of several entries on Italian and international cinema for the Enciclopedia del Cinema Treccani and has published countless monographs and books on cinema.
MAURA DELPERO
Italian film director and screenwriter, Maura Delpero was born in 1975 in Bolzano. After graduating in literature in Bologna and Paris, she studied dramaturgy in Buenos Aires. In 2008 she presented her first feature-length documentary, Signori Professori, at the Torino Film Festival, winning the Avanti! Prize. In 2012 her documentary Nadea e Sveta won the Cipputi Prize in Torino and was also presented at the Trieste FF. In 2019 her first fiction feature film Maternal premiered in Locarno and in over a hundred festivals worldwide, including the Trieste FF, winning several awards. In 2021 she was nominated Best Emerging Director at the Italian “Nastri d’Argento”. She is currently developing her new fiction project Vermiglio or The Mountain Bride.
